Fred Phelps: The Anti-Everything Campaign

fred_phelps_the_pornographer_web.jpgWatching the “anti-everything” campaign my family is waging against…well…everyone, many of the images and words bring to mind my experiences growing up in that situation. Throughout my adult life, when the opportunity came to discuss my past, it was frustrating trying to explain the reality of that world. Time and again people would either, smile and nod, relate it to their own experience, or flat out suggest that I was exaggerating. Then in the early 1990’s the earth shifted, the shell of that noxious egg cracked and Kansas, the United States, and even the world has become the unwilling witness to the fruit of one man’s furious rage at all he considers unholy.

For me, it has become of utmost importance that I explain, as best I can, the forces that acted on my siblings, bringing them to this place of inhuman behavior.

From the earliest days, my father (Fred Phelps) insisted that his children would be separated. Neighbors were turned against us by his treatment toward them. Friends learned to stay away. At Christmas time my father could be found on the phone railing to the various school authorities if they failed to remove his children from the classroom before Christmas activities began. The message we got literally pounded into our young minds twice each Sunday was that we were to “come out from among them” and be separate from them. The sum total of his fathering was either from behind a strap, mattock handle or the pulpit…Usually with an angry, loud scowl in his voice.

I think most people know of the self righteous charlatan named Shirley Phelps-Roper. You Know, Fred Phelps’ “right-hand gal”. I thought it might give a little perspective to the readers to know a little more about her “sticky” past.

Editors Note: When you read below please understand, I’m not making a moral judgment in regards to having pre-marital sex, having sex with an inmate or having a child out of shirleyphelpsroper.jpgwed-lock. I am posting the following story about Shirley Phelps’ history to further help people understand what a hypocritical “Douche Bag” she is.

A Family Insider Tells The Story Of Shirley Phelps-Roper’s “Illegitimate” Child:

As to the story of Shirley’s ill fated romance, my memory of the details is sparse. I know Shirley was working at a halfway house in Topeka as part of her education requirements at Washburn University. She met a young man (who was an inmate), the only thing I remember about him is his name was Rob, he had dark brown hair, not to tall, not to bright, but very polite and friendly. Shirley was smitten by his attention and the next thing you know she’s got a bun in the oven.

Fred was furious, devastated, stunned, etc. He went for some time not talking to Shirley. Shirley was very contrite and apologetic and eventually Fred pronounced her “right with God” over the matter. Of course there was no discussion about including Rob in any aspect of this situation…she was forbidden to see him and he was persona non grata. My recollection is that he basically was a non-player in this drama.

Sueppel Family Funeral To Be Picketed By Fred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church (Cult) In Iowa City, Iowa

Late Sunday night or early Monday morning, a horrible tragedy transpired in Iowa City, Iowa. Steven Sueppel, killed his wife and four children with a baseball bat and then drove his sueppel-family.jpgvehicle into a concrete pillar along interstate 80, killing himself.

News reports state that Mr. Sueppel was facing charges of embezzling over a half million dollars over the last seven years from his former employer Hills Bank & Trust, where he was a vice president.

This whole story makes me sick to my stomach so I won’t go into any more details about the murder / suicide.

This is my take; Mr. Sueppel obviously made some pretty big mistakes and was getting ready to “pay the piper”. I imagine Mr. Sueppel was under a ton of stress and he snapped. The saddest part is his bride and four beautiful children fell victim.

If this whole story isn’t sickening enough, Fred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church (Cult) announced their intentions to slither out of their Topeka based compound and picket at the Sueppel Family Funeral Saturday May 29th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 302 E. Jefferson St. Iowa City, Iowa from 9:15 am to 10:00 am.

Whew… Steven Sueppel was a real douche-bag for killing his wife and children, but not nearly as much of a douche-bag(s) as Fred Phelps and his “Pharisee wanna-be”, maggot followers are for picketing at peoples funerals and memorial services.

I wander if Shirley Phelps-Roper will have her children playing soccer with the American Flag again?

I am certain that if the Maggots of the Westboro Baptist Dog-Kennel show up, they will give some outlandish reason why this tragedy happened in:

Ok, Here is the answer…. Abuse. They are looking to inflict emotional abuse.

In their own words, there are over 600,000 pastors in the United States and only Fred Phelps has it right. Everyone else is “Doomed”, its “Too Late to Pray, the people who are going to heaven have already been “pre-destined” and everyone else is screwed.

“If” what they say is true, why the heck would they be picketing? If it’s too late to pray and we are all going to hell because Fred Phelps is the only one who interprets the Bible correctly, why shove it in peoples faces? Unless they are sadistic. They like to say na na na. your going to hell, it’s too late to pray, we told you so, blah, blah, blah, vomit…

It’s also because little frail Fred Phelps and his skank-daughter Shirley and company, want some attention.

Another point to make my own: I watch their blog at www.godhatesfags.com; people ask questions and they are replied to as they are TOTAL stupid idiots. They are told how stupid they are! Does that sound like the kind of response from someone who cares? Nope! So why do they do it? Abuse and attention.

Fred Phelps’ Westboro Cult on a Jihad

On March 23rd, members of Fred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church (Cult) will leave their compound in Topeka and head to Florida to protest a number of churches.

Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, Florida from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, First Baptist Church of Orlando 3000 South John Young Parkway, Orlando, Florida from 9:55 am to 10:40 am, Calvary Assembly of God 1199 Clay St, Winter Park, Florida from 10:55 am to 10:40 am and Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Shrine 8300 Vineland Ave from 12:15pm to 1:00 pm. (By the way, according to WBC, “GOD HATES THE CATHOLICS!”.)

I just had an interesting thought… If they REALLY believe that they are doing Gods work, if they TRULY believe that they are on a mission from God, why don’t they go pull this crap in Iran, or North Korea or go tell Hugo Chavez what they think if his his religious convictions to his face. I doubt they will. They are week, “Ate-Up”, miserable little “Witch-Hunters”.

Why do they request police protection at some of their pickets? Are they not protected by God? If God allowed them to be harmed, would it not be the divine will of God? Should they not rejoice in the harm and not hide from it like cowards? See, they are attention seeking cowardly thugs/maggots .

I truly suggest that they pack their own meals. I personally don’t think I could serve them food without accidentally slobbering on it.

Jason Phillips was serving in Iraq; was charged with killing her 11 month old daughter Alexis Phillips. Below is the text of the FBI Agent’s Affidavit. It’s not a fun read, but it tells the story.

Fred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Memorial Of Eve Carson

eve-carson.jpgFred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church have posted on their site www.GodHatesfags.com their intentions to picket at the Memorial Service of slain University of North Carolina Student Body President Eve Carson.

The picket is scheduled on March 18, 2008 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Smith Center 300 Skipper Bowles Drive from 3:15 - 4:00 pm.

Below I have copied the words written by Eve’s father and were shared at the memorial service for Eve held in Athens, Georgia. My heart just aches for the family and friends of Eve.

The funeral and memorial service should be respected and not used as a platform for ANYONE to picket. If Westboro Baptist Church does in fact slither in to picket, I hope Eve’s father takes them to court. I hope WBC members are jailed. Funeral picketing has got to be ended.

UPDATE: March 19th, 2008

My sources tell me that WBC was a “No-Show” at the memorial service. The story I hear is that Westboro Baptist Church requested a permit to picket on campus with “police protection” and a good “escape route”. UNC grated them permission but in a different location on campus (I hear it was not very close to the memorial) and the Phelps’ declined. They are very notorious for stating their intent to picket and then not showing up.

Fred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Funeral of Staff Sgt. Timothy Miller and Sgt. Randi Miller

Sunday March 16th at Douglas High School, 1670 Hwy. 88, Minda, NV.

The couple were murdered in their home near Tacoma, Washington.

They leave behind a six month old daughter.

We are very thankful to them for their service to our country. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their family and friends.

Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Funeral For SGT. SHAWN HILL

Westboro Baptist Church / Cult is scheduled to Picket The Funeral of Sgt. Shawn Hill Saturday Januarysgt-shawn-hill.jpg 12th from 9:45 to 10:30 am, Lyman United Methodist Church 106 Groce Rd. In Lyman South Carolina.

Sgt. Shawn F. Hill, 37, of Wellford, S.C., died Jan. 2 in Khowst Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.

Sgt. Shawn Hill was part of the 178th Engineer Battalion, 218th Infantry Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard, based in Rock Hill. He was serving his second overseas tour. Sgt. Hill served in Iraq in 2004 and 2005 and had been in Afghanistan since January 2007. He had been a member of the National Guard for almost 12 years.

Sgt. Hill leaves behind his wife of 16 years and his three sons, ages 15,13 and 11.

Editor: To the family of Sgt. Shawn Hill, please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your husband, father, son and friend. When Sgt. Hill died, I was enjoying the freedom that he was fighting to preserve. I am so very thankful for his service to our country. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Pfc. Joshua Anderson was a Combat Medic who was killed January 4th 2008 when a bomb exploded next to his Humvee in Kamasia, Iraq.

The last time his family saw him was when he was deployed to Iraq last October. He also leaves behind a wife and a three year old daughter.

Word comes today (Wed., Jan. 9), that another Iraqi lED (Improvised Explosive Device, aka a homemade bomb), blew up in a building in Iraq, killing six more soldiers and wounding four. We say, Praise the Lord! God hates the fag-filled Military, and we will picket their funerals when these six are returned for burial. The U.S. Military has lifted up their hand to persecute WBC for preaching, in violation of the Constitution they claim to be fighting for. The Military has declared war on God Almighty, in their hypocritical arrogance. In return, an angry God is pouring out his wrath and vengeance upon the Military.

I don’t know where the above picture originally came from, it was sent to me with other pictures via email. Take a good hard look at it. He is someones son. Maybe someones father. Might be someones husband. I don’t have a clue if he is alive or not. I don’t know what political party he supported or what his religion he is. All I know is, someone loves him. I know what it’s like to bury a loved one. The sick feeling, the agonizing pain.

Fred Phelps and his Cult at Westboro Baptist Church thrive on funeral picketing. This is not a First Amendment agrument. It’s about indecency. It’s about Fred Phelps hurting others.

Fred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Arlington National Cemetery

Westboro Baptist Church has posted on their picket schedule, their intent to picket Arlington National Cemetery Sunday January 12th 2008 from 11:30-12:30.

Have you ever seen the show or movie “Jack-Ass”? I must admit, I was never a fan. However, the more I think about it, the more I see a parallel in Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church’s antics. Picketing Arlington National Cemetery? What a Jack-Ass thing to do!

June, 2006 Arlington National Cemetery: The flag from Lance Cpl. Kevin Adam Lucas’s coffin is presented to his parents, Sandra and Kevin Lucas, by Master Sergeant Barry Baker. The 20-year-old from Greensboro, North Carolina, was killed May 26, 2006, while conducting a security patrol in Anbar province.

About my mom’s arm…I can’t remember the exact year it happened, I know I was old enough to know about it…maybe 8 or 9 yrs old…so that would put it around the late 60’s. I know that my father was beating my mom upstairs, she started to fall down the stairs (I honestly don’t know if she was pushed, trying to run, or just tripped). Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church Members Picket Griffin-Burkman Family Memorial Service

Late Sunday night, December 30th 2007, five members of the Griffin-Burkman family; of Parkville, Maryland were killed by a drunk driver in Toledo, when the family’s van was struck by a pick-up driven by Michael Gagnon who was reportedlythe-griffin-burkman-family.jpg driving the wrong direction with a blood alcohol level of .254. (More than 3 times the legal limit)

Killed were 36-year-old Bethany Griffin, 10-year-old Jordan Griffin, 10-year-old Haley Burkman, 7-year-old Lacie Burkman, and their infant daughter Vadi Griffin.

On Monday, 8 year old Sydney Griffin was released from a Toledo hospital after being treated for injuries sustained in the crash.

Fred Phelps Pickets The Memorial Service!
A memorial service was held today at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baltimore, MD. True to form, members of Westboro Baptist Church including Fred Phelps slithered in to protest. Fred Phelps said “The community is going to “pay the price” for persecuting his group for preaching the word of God.” WBC members said the deaths are God’s retribution against the community for the recent $11 million a federal jury in Baltimore awarded Albert Snyder, who sued the group after they protested his son’s military funeral in Maryland.

billyinhell.jpgThe Douche-Bags at Westboro Baptist Church had posted on their website (GodHatesFags.com) they were going to picket at 14th and Grand in Kansas City, MO. this evening from 6:45-7:30 in front of the new Sprint Center. “This is for Manheim Steamroller” their site said. Typical of these idiots, they “Chickened Out”. Yep, NO-SHOW. I was there. Had some questions for them. They said they would be there… Nope. Not a glimpse. A Church group from “Olathe Life Fellowship” (from Olathe, Kansas) was there as well . They held signs saying: “God Love’s America”,”God Loves Gay’s” and others. Quite a lovely group of folks. They are fed up with Westboro Baptist Church /Cults antics as well. I’m sure we will be seeing each other again.

So they say they are going to picket and they don’t show. Either they are “Chicken” or they are “Liars”… or BOTH! Yes, they are “Lying Chickens”. Whoops, I almost forgot to mention “Cowards”. Yes, Fred Phelps, their leader is a “Wife Beater” and “Child Abuser” (among many other things). Wife beaters and Child Abusers are Cowards. When Fred cannot answer his own son’s questions regarding the abuse he, his mother and siblings endured at their own fathers hands growing up, means he is a “Chicken” who’s running scared. The “Fun Bunch” at WBC actually subscribe to Fred’s doctrine, thus they are the same!!! OK, I think I’ve got it, they are “Cowardly Lying Chickens”. If I were them I would pack my own lunch. Have you ever seen the movie “Waiting”? HA! (No, I am not advocating anything!) The fact is, if I owned a business and they stopped in, I would have to exercise MY rights and refuse service. I just don’t think I could risk the liability of providing service to them! I mean, “what if” someone spit in their drink of slashed their tires in the parking lot? OMAHA MALL SHOOTING – Westboro Baptist Church Thanks God For Dead!

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to the friends and families who lost a friend or loved one in the Mall shooting in Omaha this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ok folks; let’s go back to early June of this year.

WBC CHILD FURY “Squirrelly Shirley” (Shirley Phelps-Roper) of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas was arrested on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. “Squirrelly” acknowledged that she allowed her 10 year old son Jonah to stand (stomp) on a United States flag during their protest at the funeral for Nebraska Army National Guard Spc. William “Bill” Bailey, who was killed in Iraq on May 25 when an explosive device struck his vehicle.

Nebraska law states it is a Class 3 misdemeanor when a person “intentionally casts contempt or ridicule upon a flag by mutilating, defacing, defiling, burning or trampling upon such flag.” Westboro Baptist Church members are notorious for allowing their kids to stomp on the U.S. flag and kick it around like a soccer ball. What a bunch of “Douche-Bags”!

Robert A HawkingsThis week: 19-year-old Robert A. Hawkins entered the Westroads mall in Omaha, Nebraska and killed 9 people including himself and seriously injured several others with an assault rifle.

Westboro Baptist (Fred Phelps) Letter From A Pissed Father

In 1999, my family and I attended a children’s dance recital at the Lied Center on the University of Kansas campus. I was shocked to see members of Fred Phelps’ Westboro Baptist Church (Cult) picketing outside the building. These brainless minions of You Know Who carried anti-gay slogans and silhouettes of 2 men engaging in sexual acts on their homemade signs. They were actually pretty quiet, for the most part, but their presence cast a very noticeable dark cloud over what was supposed to be a happy, shining moment for the little dancers and their families. Parents were angry, but maintained a level of decency and self-control that Phelps’ devils could never comprehend. Before the performance, a Lied Center official graced the stage and apologized for being the magnet of such an embarrassing, disgraceful group of ignorant humans as those outside the entrance. The WBC had disappeared by the time we exited the building, so, at least the kids didn’t have to face that unforgivable sight again.

Why I Stand Against Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church

It is important for me to explain my reasons for joining the crusade against Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church. The tactics may be a bit crass, but the motive is pure.

Friday November 2nd: I was winding down for the evening, my kids were tucked in bed, my wife was out for a while, so I turned on the TV, grabbed a bag of pretzels and was ready to bunker down for the night and decompress from my typical “turbo-busy week”. As I was flipping through the channels, I stopped as I saw the beginning of an article on 20/20 about Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church. I have been well aware of these idiots for years. I watched, listened, and my blood began to boil. I have known that Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church picket constantly. I had seen the news regarding the Snyder VS. Westboro Baptist Church lawsuit. They awarded Mr. Albert Snyder (Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder’s father) $2.9 million in compensatory damages and then later added a decision to award $6 million in punitive damages for invasion of privacy and an additional $2 million for causing emotional distress, a total of $10,900,000! (Phelps may need to get back in the candy selling racket!)

The damage these people (Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church are doing to our service members’ moraleWBC Thank God For Dead Soldiers is shocking. When hateful, misguided individuals make the news for their hateful acts and speech and not a single positive note from our various works overseas is given 30 seconds of airtime, there is a serious problem. Soldiers returning from the desert with pictures of thankful families and translated letters of their new international friends come home to the rotten, hateful garbage spouted by evil, ungrateful individuals who count the days until their next funeral desecration, have their hearts broken by the ones they are sacrificing themselves for. Morale is shot, though they try to fight the urge to quit. They remind themselves that there are countless others who appreciate them and the difficult work they step up to the plate to accomplish.
